One of my interests this year has been quantum physics and there is a term used when referring to the universe that has caught my imagination – Infinite Possibilities.

At first it seemed to me to be just another buzz word in the amazing mix of ideas that quantum physics explores but it kept popping into my head and slowly its real meaning started to hit me. It is an idea so exciting with so many ramifications that you will never see the world the same way again.

A month ago I came across and audio program of the same name by Mike Dooley and I knew I had to listen to it. Mike was actually featured in The Secret and has been running a website for many years with what he calls the adventurers club. The concept being that life is an adventure. He also has a mailing list called Notes from the Universe which I have been subscribing to for some time.

So I downloaded it aware that it would not really be on the topic of quantum physics but related none the less.

I have actually listened to a lot of material from many of the world’s most renowned motivational speakers and the messages of many are similar. From each I can usually gleam a new insight or some clarification of a topic I am already familiar with.

The 12 hour audio program Infinite Possibilities from Mike knocked my socks off. For me it was a lot more than a few more insights and some clarification – it actually helped me put some important jigsaw pieces for the puzzle of like together. Everything has started to make a lot more sense.

Many programs can be motivational and inspirational but this was enlightening and liberating. The sixth sense

I came across this brilliant use of technology and thought it was a brilliant example of creative thinking. 

I am a bit of a technology buff and very interested on how new technology impacts on society so this is of particular interest to me.

Pranav Mistry is the brilliant mind behind this new sixth sense.  Many people watching it might be thinking that he and MIT Media labs have developed totally new technology.  This is not really the case.  

It is really just a new human interface connecting up existing technologies.   They do not show the little “box” that runs it all but anyone that has a new i-phone will recognise many of the applications.  I do not mean to take away from the brilliance of the concept.   I admire this guys mind.

I don’t think I could ever go back to a mobile phone with a keypad now!

I came across the teachings of Abraham who is one of the original exponents of the Law of Attraction some time ago.   At first I assumed it was just more about the law of attraction but there is more to it than that.

Abraham is not a person but rather ARE non-physical entities that communicate through Esther and jerry Hicks.   Esther claims to channel  these entities from source energy from which we all originate.   She describes what she is doing as tapping into “infinite intelligence” which is the same term that Wallace Wattle used in the last century to describe much the same concept.   

Here is a summary of some of the major concepts of Abrahams teachings:

• You are a physical extension of that which is non-physical.
• You are here in this body because you chose to be here.
• The basis of your life is freedom; the purpose of your life is joy.
• You are a creator; you create with your every thought.
• Anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do or have.
• You are choosing your creations as you are choosing your thoughts.
• The Universe adores you; for it knows your broadest intentions.
• Relax into your natural well-being. All is well.
• You are a creator of thoughtways on your unique path of joy.
• Actions to be taken and money to be exchanged are by-products of your focus on joy.
• You may appropriately depart your body without illness or pain.
• You can not die; you are everlasting life.

I had seen references from time to time about Abraham being included in the first release of the secret but later removed by Rhonda Byrne for some reason.  I had suspected that maybe Rhonda decided that using “Abraham” would be too way out there when many of the ideas of the secret were already going to challenge people.  It turns out this was just my own speculation.

Life is very busy now.  I have so many projects I am working on now that I have not had time to update this blog but I have been working in a lot of areas related to it.  

Just the other day I surfed to another blog and saw something that seemed to have been written for me.   It was on the blog of Dov Barron  and saw the following:

What if the shit is a gift?

What if what’s going on right now in your life is the greatest gift you could have ever imagined, however there is no way for you to know it for at least 3,6, 12 or 36 months from now?

What if the heat of your situation is what is needed to hatch your dream?

What if ‘this’ hatches a passion within you that under any other circumstances you couldn’t have seen let alone embraced?

What if ‘this’ was is a game you play with yourself?

What if this become your best way to let go of what you no longer needed?

What if this is all a lesson in learning to trust yourself?

What if all this is simply to have you see what really matters?

What if this is your wake up call?

And what if you woke up?  What would you be waking up from?  What would you be awakening into?

What if you’ve been so focused on what might happen that you’ve blinded yourself to what is happening that’s great.

What if in truth this is a precious jewel wrapped in crap? Would you be willing to take the chance of getting your hands a little dirty in order to really find and recognize that jewel?

I can relate to everyone one of those lines having recently come out of the most shitty experience of my life. 

At first I spent a lot of time in reflection and asking how I could have attracted a sick psychopath into my life.  How he so easily sabotaged my relationship with my girl friend and turned her against me taking my baby son away from in the process.

The part that really got to me was that he did it for fun.  I have since learnt a lot about this very sad individual and been in contact with members of his family who have basically disowned him and apologised to me for the pain he put me through.

The cruellest irony is that in engaging and fighting him I have pushed them closer together.   Had I handled it differently he would have had his jollies breaking up my relationship and moved on long ago. 

In her he has found a girl he can control.   She buys drugs for him and they use together.  I know she has been living in fear as once she called an ex-friend crying and telling her that I had people following them around and had a contract out on their life.   Wow me!  Amazing what a combination of a manipulative lying psychopath and drugs can do to someone who is otherwise very intelligent.   Apparently fear is a common control method a psychopath uses in a relationship.

Last week I was advised that a notice had been placed in the newspaper with an Arrest warrant for me.  Upon further investigation I have determined that it was for non support of my child.  Again this is the psychopath playing games.  

They both disappeared last year as he has arrest warrants in two countries.  I tried to send money via her family but they refused to accept it telling me I needed to sort things out with her directly which of course I could not do.   They have always been able to contact me but chose not to and now have quietly lodged a case against me just to obtain an arrest warrant and publish my picture in the paper in an attempt to embarrass me.

I am so far beyond that.   In fact I totally amazed myself over the next few days by being totally relaxed.  I felt an inner peace and total lack of concern about the matter.   I have no intention of going back where they are anyway.   Not while the psychopath is on the scene anyway and I know that it is only a matter of time before he moves on.   

I just need to wait.   Even if he read this and out of his determination to win at all costs resolved to stay with my ex-girl friend he will still eventually move on.   A psychopath can modify or curtail their behaviour only for a short period but their sickness is hard wired in their brain.  He will move on sooner or later.

Anyway back to my reflection.  I have come to realize that I really did attract everything that happened into my life. 

I am actually very loyal person and the other thing I really could not understand was how someone that you love could be so evil to you.  How could they intentionally hurt you so much.  At first I blamed the psychopath but when I really analysed the situation the ex-girlfriend was a very active participant in the nasty games they played on me.

I have finally realized that she is still a victim despite her very active participation, and I realize that I have a responsibility to help her once the psychopath does abandon her.   I have obtained an additional ATM card already for that purpose. 

I have also realized that I neglected her emotionally and was so selfish and preoccupied with my own feelings that I allowed the tragedy to unfold.  I basically did everything wrong in terms of my reaction.

 There was a time when she was constantly testing me and demanding things from me but it was the psychopath that was pulling the string.  So of course I failed each test.    The psychopath was also pretending to be my friend and feeding back lies and half truths to her.  I really had no chance.

I say I had no chance but I was acting instinctually.  There are fundamental principles in life that can guide your actions and if you adhere to these then things can only go in the right direction.  This is what Wallace Wattles calls Acting in the Certain Way.

I feel like I have been on a long journey and these experiences have made me stronger and prepared me for something special.  

So when I read  What if the shit is a gift? I thought yes it has been.

Firstly I am very happy with Attractor Genie but was not overly impressed with their support response.  They tried to help but just did not seem to understand my questions.

I had three questions and created a separate ticket for each.

Question 1 : Application Bug (very minor) – Reminder function display
Question 2 : New Functionality request – add additional questions to Daily Journal
Question 3 : Windows Support – Subliminal application and dual monitor extended desktop

If you read the descriptions below you will see that these are all very minor concerns and when I think about it  THIS IS ALL I HAVE FOUND after using the application for a month then I have to conclude that Attractor Genie is VERY GOOD.   I find more issues with most of the “big name” applications where they have hundreds of developers.

Question 1 : Application Bug (very minor) – Reminder function display

I reported what is a real bug with the Reminder function.  If you create a reminder with multiple lines that extend down below the default displayed onscreen you cannot scroll to read them despite there being a scroll bar.  It is disabled and “greyed out”.    The reminder function does not support hyper links so you cannot have a link to open the fully txt from another source.  You also cannot click to open the original reminder to view in full.

Now if the Reminder function only allowed you to input the same number of lines it displays I would have just accepted this as a limitation but because it allows you to enter more that it displays it can be considered a bug. 

The response from support was to send me this asking if mine worked the same.

Yes it would work that way on mine also but had they tested it with more than 4 lines they might have noticed the problem also.  I have created the same test with 10 lines to demonstrate and only 7 are displayed.

Question 2 : New Functionality request – add additional questions to Daily Journal

In the daily journal there is a questions tab.   There you will find about 40 categories of questions with each category containing a number of pre-written questions designed to prompt you to think further about topics you are concerned about.  I think this is a great resource that I will write more about later.

My question to support was can I add my own questions.   My reason for wanted to do so is that I am current doing another online course that provides me with daily questions and I thought it would be great to use Attractor Genie rather than print off the question sheet and physically write the answers as they course suggests. 

I also asked about the data structure of Attractor Genie thinking I might be able to edit the files and insert my own question category.

This is not a bug with the Attractor Genie application but rather a request for a new functionality in future updates. 

Question 3 : Windows Support – Subliminal application and dual monitor extended desktop

I asked about the subliminal application and support for dual monitor extended desk top configurations explaining that it only seemed to work on the primary monitor (1) and I wanted the subliminal messages to display on the second monitor (2).  The response was to show me what the working subliminal screen should look like and some irrelevant suggestions.

Yes this is what it looked like for me but had nothing to do with my question.  

I would have accepted a response that they did not support dual monitor extended desk top configuration.   I have since resolved this problem and It turns out that it is a Windows function and nothing at all to do with Attractor Genie.

I am running vista on a notebook with a second monitor attached and using the extended screen option.   To set this up you right click the desktop and select “Personalize” and then “Display Settings”.  It does not give you the option there to change the primary monitor.

When I run the subliminal application from Attractor genie it only displays on the first monitor (the smaller notebook screen) which is not the primary one I use.   Therefore it was not much use to me as at the very best I would only pick it up in my peripheral vision.

In what can only now be called serendipity my display went crazy for no apparent reason with my display rotated.  I had no idea what was happening but it forced me to delve deeper into the options. 

I actually found that for some reason my screen rotation had changed under “Graphics Options” “Rotation”   You get there by a Right Click on the desktop and not via “Personalize” where I had been looking.  I fixed the rotation but also noticed “Graphics Properties” and what do you know…It gives you the option to specify the primary monitor.    

Not only has this fixed my Attractor Genie subliminal application (have it running now – works perfectly) but it has also fixed some other minor irritations with the dual screen extended monitor configuration.  It’s wonderful now.   The only thing is that I had to physically rearrange my desk as the notebook now needs to sit off to my right.  

I suppose all of this would not make any sense to anyone that has not seen the extended desktop working.

While assisting people wanting to run the subliminal application with dual monitor configurations is probably beyond the scope of Attractor Genie support I invite them to take this information and add it to their knowledge base as it might assist other attractor genie users in the future.

The Attractor Genie Videos

These are instructional videos to get you started and I do recommend them.  They do sound a little amateurish in production (they are really just a voice over with a guy giving a demo on how to use Attractor Genie) but do give you the information you really need to get started.   They often refer you to the manual for more detailed information.

Now I have to say that their manual is particularly good to help you get started.   Many applications I have purchased in the past include a manual that does not really tell you anything.  I will give the Attractor Genie top marks for the manual and recommend anyone who gets Attractor Genie to read it.

My first experiences with contacting support have been a little disappointing. It’s not that support was rude or initially failed to respond.  They did get back to me within the specified time period with responses to my questions.   What is disappointing is that while they tried to help they did seem to really understand my questions.  See my next post My support Questions to Attractor Genie

 Conclusion

It’s a great application which I continue to use on a daily basis. 

The documentation and tutorials are comprehensive and easy to follow.  The support response was timely and friendly and probably great for people that need help on how use the program but not as technical as I needed.  I am sure that if ever I encountered a more serious problem it would be referred to a more technical resource so I am not at all concerned.

I highly recommend the Attractor Genie Application to Anyone

The idea of a vision board has been around for a long time.  You may not refer to it as such and it does not need to be a specific thing.  It could be an office or bedroom wall.   The images might be scrapbook-type cut outs or beautifully framed artwork.   

It is simply any place where you put images of something you desire in a place where you will regularly see it so you can remain motivated towards it.  

This concept is used by most people in one way or another.  Even those who would reject the idea of the Law of Attraction see at least the motivational power in images.   The images could be of something you want, a goal you want to achieve or someone you aspire to emulate. 

A mind movie is an electronic version of a vision board but multi-media rich including sounds and visual effects.   Mind movies were pioneered by Ryan Higgins who created it as a visualization tool to assist with the law of Attraction.  He promotes them as a way to make The Sectret and the law of attraction work for those that have not been able to get results.

I actually purchased his Mind Movie package last year and proceeded to make a mind movie but came to a grinding halt when it came to select the images and captions.   Soon after that other events in my life took over and it was forgotten and remained uncompleted ever since. 

I recently purchased the Attractor Genie program with a suite of tools including Attractor Movie which is the same concept as a mind movie.   So I know have two tools to create mind movies but still have yet to produce any.

I have been using the Attractor Genie program now for more than a month and suddenly I realized why I was not able to complete my original mind movie.

I have previously spoken about the home page of the Attractor Genie program and how it has four areas; My vision, My Purpose, My values and My Identity.   I talked about how valuable it has been to start thinking about those areas of my life and initially putting down a few ideas, then returning to them to refine them until they really took shape.   

I was looking at these four areas a few days ago as you do whenever you open the Attractor Genie program (probably why they are on the home page) and the thought suddenly occurred to me that there is the script to my mind movie. 

This was the blockage to my creating a Mind movie in the past.   I really did not have the right script. Sure I had put together some ideas but they really were not expressing the message I wanted.  So when it came time to select the images and text it was a struggle. 

Everyone is different and there are thousands of people who purchased the Mind Movies package and were immediately able to produce their Mind Movie.   I needed to think about what I really wanted and valued first before I was ready to start.  

As I have not yet produced a mind movie I cannot give an opinion on the Ryan Higgins Mind Movie package vs. the included Attractor Movie version.   As I own both I will try both when the time comes and write a review here.

What I can say now with certainty is that the Attractor Genie program is worth having regardless of how good I later determine is mind movie component to be.   The Ryan Higgins Mind Movie package will have to be significantly better for me to recommend to anyone they buy it in addition to the Attractor Genie program.

If like me you already own the Ryan Higgins Mind Movie package and are struggling creatively to make your first movie then get Attractor Genie and forget about making any type of mind movie until you have worked through the four areas I spoke about.

I subscribe to daily messages from the Universe.  These are short and often humorous messages written by Mike Dooley, who was featured in the “The Secret”.  

In all honestly half of them I just click delete on immediately as they are not something I relate to, or they don’t inspire me, but occasionally one is a Gem or perhaps the message I needed to see at that time.

This is one such message I recently received that I have preserved storing it in my Attractor Genie Journal.

Isn’t it nice to know that you haven’t yet laughed, all that you’ll laugh? That you haven’t yet met, some of your very best friends? And that you haven’t yet dreamed, all that you’ll manifest?

That all bridges will be mended? That all sadness will be healed? And that life never ends?

That all of your challenges will be won? That all of your triumphs will be shared? And that the difference you’ll make, has already begun?

Well, it is for me, because I also know that if you don’t see these things yet, you will.

I recently used a quote by Nietzsche and got me thinking about how often he is quoted by people that have never read any of his works.  Most using quotes by him probably do not even know much about his life.

In my youth I did read two of his works; Thus Spoke Zarathustra and The AntiChrist and both made a deep impression on my thinking.  He was an amazing thinker greatly misunderstood and maligned.  

His book The Anti-Christ was written over 100 years ago and completely debunked practiced Christianity.

There is one passage in that book that defines Christianity as

a revolt of all creatures that creep on the ground against everything that is lofty: the gospel of the “lowly” lowers . . .

This is a slightly different translation to what I read but the basic meaning is the same and greatly influenced my view of Christianity for many years after.

I viewed Christians as a mass of sheep resentful of anyone that dared to think for themselves and not meekly follow a doctrine designed subordinate and control the masses.  I understood exactly what Karl Marx mean when he said that Religion is the Opium of the people.

Christianity proclaims that the meek shall inherit the earth.  I could not accept that mediocrity should be rewarded above endeavour and achievement.  It did seem like a concept thought up by those resentful of those who were aloft.

I also disliked the images of Christianity with Jesus being crucified on the cross.  In contrast are the images of the beautiful and powerful Greek gods and I wondered why we were asking to worship such a pitiful image.  Of course we are told that Jesus died for our sins, the concept of original sin is an idea I disdain.  The focus on the glorification of suffering, and suggestion that we are put here on earth to suffer and through suffering we will be closer to God is another idea I still totally reject.

In his Thus Spoke Zarathustra Nietzsche announced to the world that the concept of God is dead and is written in parables to mimic the bible.  I read the book twenty years ago and don’t remember the details but Nietzsche suggests man as at a dangerous crossing with an abyss below and on the other side is the overman.  What we can evolve to when we overcome ourselves.

This concept of the overman was hijacked by Nazi Germany who adopted and perverted the works of Nietzsche making it the state Philosophy and promoting the idea of the overman as the Aryan.   

In the last decade of his life Nietzsche suffered mental illness and was in the care of his sister who just returned after her husband Forster, an extreme right wing racist, committed suicide in Paraguay where he was trying to establish an Aryan colony.   The sister influenced by extreme right wing ideology edited and distorted the last writings of her brother under the title A Will To Power.

So how do I feel today about Christianity?   I think for me it was a case of throwing out the baby with the bath water.  There are some very negative things in Christianity but there is much more “good”.

There is also the YOU SEE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR factor.   If you have an idea or belief you continually look for “proof” to support your idea and if it happens to be a belief in negative aspects of Christianity then that is what you will see in abundance.   If you look for good in Christianity you will find it in even greater abundance.  It’s all to do with what we focus on and I no longer focus on what is negative.  Subsequently my view of Christianity today is far more positive these days.

Despite the positive idea of the overman which was more along the lines of reaching a state of enlightenment much of Nietzsche’s works and ideas focus on negativity.  I doubt I will read anymore Nietzsche but as an original thinker he is to be admired.

Just over a week ago I had to deal with some very negative things that brought back a lot of bad memories and feelings related to being separated from my infant child.  Around the same time I observed a small child about the same age struggling to take his first steps and thought that my child too would be learning to walk by now and I was missing it.  The realization was like a knife stabbed into my heart. 

I also realized that these feeling were not helpful to anyone least of all me.  I resolved that it was time to fully let go.   Not of my love for my child or my expectation (note I do not use the word hope) to be reunited with him one day.  Just of anything that connected me with the negativity of the past year.  This included a decision to turn off the other blog. 

Well this past week has been a major mile stone for me.  A week ago when I resolved to fully let go I really did not appreciate what that entailed.  The last week has been amazing.  I have been overwhelmed by feelings of well being and happiness.  In fact more than that.  LOVE.

It occurred to me that the feelings I have had this past week are probably similar to what a born Christian feels when they believe they are filled with the spirit of Jesus. 

I have deliberately created my own state of euphoria.  I decided to be happy and have made my own happiness.  So is it real some might ask.  Am I in some delusional state of denial of reality? 

What is real?  Is the born again filled with the spirit of Jesus experiencing a more real happiness – from the point of view of a born again they are.  How about a drug addict getting a fix…is their state of euphoria more real or less than mine?   How do you validate happiness?

Years ago I read a short book by John Kehoe called the Practice of Happiness.  It was an inspirational book filled mainly with anecdotal stories but in his book he revealed the secret of happiness.  The secret is so simple that many would dismiss it and even ridicule it.   The secret is to just decide to be happy. 

We really are talking about the power of thoughts to control and direct your state of mind.  I have been working on my happiness for a few months now and avoiding focussing on the negativity.   I did not expect it to be so powerful.   

Another surprise is that there is no room for any feelings of anger and hatred.  They are gone.  There is nothing there anymore.

No one has ever hurt me so deeply and been as vindictive and nasty as my ex-girl friend and mother of my infant son.  At first I thought she was just under the control of the drug addict psychopath who also got her addicted to crystal-meth.  I then came to realize that she was a very active accomplice in many the dastardly deeds perpetrated by the psychopath.  My hurt turned to anger and eventually I even tried to hate her. 

Now if I look at her picture I feel only pity and feelings of love for her.  Not love as before but a compassionate love.  I am also aware that I hurt her deeply and made mistakes and while I don’t believe that my actions can justify what she did to me I accept my responsibility in allowing this psychopath into our lives.  I realize my ex-girl friend is a victim despite her active complicity in games of the psychopath.  So I will help her as well as my child once the Psychopath has abandoned them as I know he will.

If I look at a picture of the Psychopath who deliberately caused me so much pain and suffering the feelings of extreme animosity are also gone.  My feeling is more of indifference and detachment.  I realize how pathetic and sad this person is.   He is only in his mid 30s and already a chronic alcoholic and drug user.  I have also learnt about his estrangement from his family who have not seen or heard from him for more than four years.  My only reservation is that he will continue to hurt everybody that he comes into contact with. 

As for my day to day living, they are seldom in my thoughts.  I do think of my infant son but focus on feelings of love for him and knowing that he is ok.  I miss him.  I know that in the future circumstances will change enabling me to again be part of his life.

The quote “That which does not kill us makes us stronger” by Nietzsche comes to mind after reflecting upon the events of the previous year.  I am definitely stronger as a result of my experiences. 

No one will ever be able to hurt me again nor will I simply react to circumstances allowing them to determine my emotional states.  I am in control as never before.  I am becoming the active creator of my own life and can direct my emotional states.  I now take full responsibility for my life and that also means I have full power.

So in some ways my encounter with the Psychopath was one of serendipity.

I have found myself dragged back into dealing with a very negative matter over the past two days. A psychopath that I had problems with last year has enlisted the help of another nut case and together they published the most false and disgusting allegations about me.

The site they published these allegations on is already totally discredited but there were some things they claimed that needed to be rebutted as circumstantial evidence seemed to suggest I had some involvement.  The old where there is smoke there is fire scenario. 

I have completed the fully and total rebuttal of these allegations and it is time to get back to living my life.

I have learned a valuable lesson from having to revisit this very negative matter.   Some of the bad feelings and anguish started to return as I was forced to focus on formulating the rebuttal.  I have been free of these bad feelings for a few months now and forgot how bad they really are.

This experience has convinced me that it’s time to fully let go.  I have another blog where I wrote about my child being taken away from me.  It was therapeutic to create this blog and vent all my deepest feelings. 

In the blog I attacked the mother and the psychopath who took my son away from me. 

I previously wrote about a message I received about praising and blessing your enemies.  At the time I said I really could not do that but that I had stopped spending time cursing them and instead was starting to focus on positive things.

I actually did stop spending time thinking any negative thoughts towards them and I know I was better off for doing so.   Yet I left the blog running which contains a great deal of negativity and “curses” towards them. 

In leaving this blog I was not being congruent and therefore could not be fully aligned with the universe.  Thus I attracted this problem back to me.  I realize it’s time to follow my own advice to the guy that published the rubbish against me and let go. 

So I have announced I will turn off the blog at the end of the month allowing time for the people directly concerned to read my rebuttal.  I will totally ignore the old blog until it’s time to turn it off.

I know that eventually this matter will resolve itself when the psychopath abandons my ex-girlfriend and the child and I will again be able to see my son.   

In the meantime I have other people in my life including my other children who need me.  It is my duty to be happy for them and give them my love. 

Tomorrow I will wake up to another beautiful new day and wonderful things will happen.

I have been reading some articles by critics of the Law of Attraction. I found a few of particular interest.

The first is titled “Why the Law of Attraction is Wrong, But Why It Still Works” and is found on the Zen Habits forums from Leo.

Leo basically says that the LOA system can work because it encourages people to follow a three step process.

The first step in the process starts with a person actually stating very specifically what he/she wants, which is something Leo acknowledges most people don’t do.

The second step in the process is that it encourages people to focus (think about, visualize, use affirmations etc) on what they want.

The third step in the process is that as a consequence of completing the first two steps people will take action to make it happen. 

This last step actually contradicts the LOA in some ways as the LOA suggests that we just believe and wait to receive and let the universe work in its own mysterious way to manifest our desire.  

Leo’s basic contention is that the LOA is wrong but the people who practice LOA might get results because they follow steps that result in action that helps make their stated desire a reality.  Leo suggests that the final step of taking action naturally follows on from the first two steps and the combination of these will, more likely than not, make desire or goal come true.  This is a logical interpretation of what might be occurring and removes any mystic or cosmic force from the equation.

Leo also rejects the idea that our thoughts can go out into the physical world and can influence it saying that there is no scientific evidence to support the LOA theory and is not scientific.

While I agree with Leo that the LOA is just a theory and cannot be scientifically proven or disproven I disagree with Leo that thoughts cannot influence the physical would. 

The title of this site is the Power of Thoughts and my belief in their power, that they are real forces that extend beyond the limitations of our mind within our physical bodies, is not based on a faith or desire to believe in Supreme Being or cosmic force.  It comes from my own very logical analyses of my total life experience that includes all that I have learnt and observed. 

René Descartes stated “I think, therefore I am” as a starting point for confirming our existence.

Those that accept living their life within the apparent limitations of our physical world and only accepting that which can be scientifically proven are basically saying “I am, therefore I think”.

I will not even attempt to try to prove here the power of thoughts.  I will just say that for me there is just way too much unexplained phenomenon that science has absolutely no explanation for.  There are so many documented cases involving identical twins, idiot savants etc.

I am willing to concede that the LOA might be wrong.  It might not work the way its proponents claim but it is based on ideas that should not be dismissed so quickly.

I saw this on YouTube some time ago and thought it totally hilarious. It is a send up of the Law of Attraction on Australian television which is actually where the Rhonda burns originates from.

I have been reflecting further upon the subject of my last post with the advice I would give the person that there comes a time to let go. 

I am reminded of Sun Tsu who advised us to “choose your battles wisely” and “do not fight battles you cannot win”.

This really applies to the guy I wrote about in the last post.

I wonder why he has become so obsessed with attacking an organization.  What makes it pointless is that even if there was a chance of some sort of victory there is no prize waiting for either victor. 

He considers himself a whistle blower and in general I applaud anyone exposing corruption or wrong doing.  If he had a purpose or ultimate goal it is lost in the content of his vitriolic website and I suspect he has long since lost sight of it anyway. 

In contrast I recently saw a movie about an inventor who waged a 25 year war against a corporation that ripped off his invention.  The guy eventually won and received a huge payout and the recognition that he wanted.  Along the way the corporation had offered him several million dollars to settle but on principle he demanded acknowledgment for his invention. 

His great victory came at a high cost to his personal life and emotional well being. It cost him his job, this marriage and even his mental health as he spent some time in a mental asylum when he had a break down and became delusional. 

Was the 25 years of struggle worth it?  Well he did eventually win and received the recognition he wanted as well as massive financial compensation.  He also won a huge victory for the common man demonstrating that a goliath cannot just trample all over them without being challenged.  We can all be thankful that there are guys like him willing to fight for justice.  

I think most people would say his struggle was worth it despite the personal sacrifice, but do we really appreciate the true cost of that sacrifice.   Twenty five years is a large portion of the average person’s life and to spend that in a bitter and struggle and it would have taken a huge toll on his health and well being.  I am talking about 25 years of unhappiness. No amount of money or recognition can get that back. 

The movie is called a Flash of Genius and about Robert Kearns, Inventor of Intermittent Windshield Wipers who took on the Ford Motor company and others.  He died in 2005 of brain cancer complicated by Alzheimer’s disease at age 77.

Sadly despite the apparent vindication and $30 million dollar settlement he never got what he had sought from the beginning which was the chance to run a factory with his six children and build his wiper motors.  In 1990 he said “I need the money, but that’s not what this is about, I’ve spent a lifetime on this. This case isn’t just a trial. It’s about the meaning of Bob Kearns’s life.”

I have actually met another guy that fought and won a life long battle with a large corporation.   In this case a large Telecommunications company.  He actually won a $10 million dollar payout after the best part of 20 years and like Kearns it has taken a toll on this guys life.  

The victory and money has not brought him happiness.  He still wages the same war against the telecommunications company assisting others.  For him it is an obsession and one that does not seem to bring him much joy.

So back to the advice of Sun Tsu to choose your battles wisely and avoid those you cannot win.  It is my contention that you should also consider the cause, prize and ultimate cost of victory as there may be some battles you can win which may not be worth the effort.

With the battle I undertook I was able to re-evaluate with those considerations and make the decision to let go and allow things to run their natural course.  I have had professional advise that the psychopath will eventually lose interest and abandon my ex-girlfriend and child when there is no game to play.  I am sure this is a strategy Sun Tsu would approve of.

Today I had the experience of seeing what I could have become.  A sort of “there go I but for the grace of God” type of realization.

I have mentioned in previous posts my encounter with a psychopath and how it took me off the rails for the previous year.   I was deeply affected by this experience and actually vented all my emotions including bitterness and anger on a website I made dedicated to the love of my son who was taken away from me by this psychopath.

Well it seems that the Psychopath has found an ally in another guy who is bitter and twisted about being kicked out of an organization which I am currently a member and serving as a president.

He has attacked me personally on his website using false allegations made against me by the psychopath.  His vitriolic website has been running for a few years attacking the organization and any members of it who do not support him.

He has chosen to attack me purely because I am associated with this organization he is running his own personal war against. 

He claims to take high moral ground in attacking me but if he is honest to himself then he knows he has only attacked me because I am currently serving as a president within that organization he hates.

The guy seeks revenge against an organization that he feels has wronged him.

“Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” – Confucius

The reality is he is only digging his own early grave because the organization he is attacking is too big and impersonal to care about him.  His attempts to attack and embarrass it are futile.

This guy attacked me a perfect stranger in order to send another volley at the organization he hates with every being of his body.  In particular I resent that he also negated my love for my son as part of his attack.  

I recognise that I could have gone down the path he has.   My website was similar to his but I do not believe it was anywhere near as vitriolic.   Mind you that could have come in time if I allowed it to become an obsession as his war against this organization has become. 

Friends warned me that it was becoming an obsession with me many advised me to pull back.  Many of my friends told me to close the site and get on with my life.  These are real friends who care about me.  I wonder if he had friends to tell him to let it go.  If he did then perhaps he ignored them. 

There is a time to let go and I have been fortunate enough to recognise it before I too became a bitter, angry and twisted person.  

This guy also needs to let go and take back control of his life.   He needs to sit down and really re-evaluate his life.  He is only harming himself by continuing to hold all these feelings of anger and hatred.

The guy wants me to resign from this organization.  He might be surprised to learn that I am most willing to do so.  In fact I have been looking forward to the end of the term as it’s just not important to me now.  I have made it clear to the organization that my resignation is there for the asking.  If it’s asked for then this guy will feel that he has won a great victory but in reality he will have gained nothing at all.

The Attractor Genie is now part of my daily routine.  

I find it great planning tool that enables me to better focus on what I want to achieve in all aspects of my life.  In particular I am using it to get my mind clear about my vision, purpose, values and identity which will enable me to set better goals and take full control of my life. 

The fact is most people do not take control of their lives.  Most people do not accept responsibility for what happens to them believing they are subject to luck, fate or a sequence of random event they have no power over.  Thus they stay in a reactive mode responding to situations and circumstances as they occur.

Every successful person without exception, regardless of the field of accomplishment, has been proactive in taking charge of their life.  They have a vision of their future and purpose.  They know who they are and what is important.  They may not have all of this for every aspect of their lives but they will have for the area they are successful in.

Even if you do not believe in the Law of Attraction I believe you will still find the Attractor Genie software a useful tool for getting focussed and increasing your own productivity.  

When you open Attractor Genie the home screen has four tabs for My Vision, My Purpose, My Values and My Identity. 

Writing these is not easy.  If you find it so then you are way ahead of most other people.  Most of us have never really sat down and thought about these things. 

I have found that it best to just jot down some ideas and keep returning to it when you feel inspired or motivated.  Slowly your Vision, Purpose, Values and Identity will start to take shape and you will start to feel more clarity in your mind.  Consult the Attractor Genie manual as it has helpful examples.

Your Vision, Purpose, Values and Identity are not set in concrete.  While one would not expect these things to fundamentally change they can always be reviewed, refined, added to or otherwise improved.

To me it seems like the Law of Attraction has become a magnet (pun intended) to all the other New Age proponents and they are jumping on the Law Of Attraction band wagon and trying to incorporate it with their particular New Age beliefs. 

Recently I have seen something called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) becoming popular and being linked directly to the Law of Attraction. 

I found this definition of EFT:  

EFT is based on the electrical systems in our body called the meridians. It is an emotional version of acupuncture except that we don’t use needles, instead we stimulate the release points by tapping with our fingertips.

Some of the meridian points ( also called acupuncture or acupressure points) on the skin have actually been measured with very sensitive instruments and the electrical charge there has been higher than in the non meridian points. We can think of the meridians like rivers along which the electricity in our body flows. This flow has been called many other names such as, chi, prana, life force, electromagnetic, electrical or just energy. EFT helps in restoring the energy flow to normal and that helps us feel emotionally and physically healthy.

EFT seems to be a New Age (nice – no needles) version of the old yet to be proven Chinese system of acupuncture with its belief in energy channels running through your body.  While my research has only been very superficial it does seem to me that EFT is a good example of a New Age belief jumping on the Law of Attraction bandwagon.    

I watched some videos and basically the practitioner talks to the subject determining what is troubling them and then gives verbal instructions telling them to release and let go of the feelings or problem and tapping them in a number of places with their fingers.  As I watched the EFT practitioner I was reminded of some aspect of NLP in the way they were working with the subjects. 

Visit any EFT website and you will see how strongly it is being linked to the Law of Attraction.  I remain a sceptic of EFT but believe that its possible people undergoing EFT are helped partly by the power of suggestion and perhaps by the Law of Attraction.

The Law or Attraction seems like part pseudo religion and part pseudo science yet I find it to be the best working model available to explain my experience of life.   There have been way too many serendipitous coincidences in my life.  Far too many things line up too many times for there not to be an unseen power or force at play. 

The law of Attraction may or may not work exactly how it is popularly believed to work.  The process of Ask, Believe and Receive might not be 100% accurate, but I have no reason to believe otherwise at this time. 

One aspect of this Law of Attraction movement I am aware and cautious of is the zealots that have embraced it as a new religion and are trying to marry it into all their old beliefs.

I remain a sceptic at heart and will not accept everything that is presented to me because it comes under the banner of the Law of Attraction. 

For the time being I find the Law of Attraction the best working model available in the absence of any better explanation.

If you can start the day without caffeine,

If you can get going without pep pills,

If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,

If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,

If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,

If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,

If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,

If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,

There is an ancient Wiken Rede that finishes “An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will”

This has always sounded good to me and to some extent I adopted it as one of my beliefs.

In hindsight I have hurt some people in relationships along the way all be it not intentionally. I know I have used the Rede as a justification for certain actions that have resulted in harm to others.

The problem is that we are not always able to assess the consequences and impact of our actions on others.

Most societies have laws that restrict the speed at which you can drive on particular roads. Most people understand and accept that these restrictions have been determined to minimize the possibility and severity of accidents.

Despite this individuals continue to speed. They do NOT do so in the belief that they will have an accident – to the contrary they believe they will not otherwise they would slow down.

They are making their own assessment in accordance with the Rede whether or not they have even heard of it.

I am often frustrated by laws which arbitrarily are set to work to the lowest common denominator in society. I resent being restricted or penalized because a law needs to take into account stupid people or other variables such as road condition.

So when it’s a beautiful clear day with virtually no other traffic on the road the temptation is to speed. The only thing that might persuade us against doing so is the threat of a penalty.

Without the laws restricting our speed it would be up to individuals to make their own assessment of what speed is safe which would be similar to following the Rede. I think most people already realize this would not work.

The principle behind the Rede is fundamentally good but there is a risk for it to be used as an excuse to be reckless and selfish.

This examination of the Rede was motivated by work I am doing within Attractor Genie as part of getting down My Vision, My Purpose, My Values and My Identity.

I can say with certainty now that I will not be cancelling the billing for this Attractor Genie software.  It is exactly what I have been looking for.  The more I use it the more I can see it will be beneficial.

In fact the purpose of starting this blog was to establish a habit of focusing my thoughts each day and getting my life back on track.   This attractor genie software will be a much better tool to achieve this than the blog.  I actually leave it open all the time and can jump in and add a note or some inspiration as it comes to mind.

My first entry in my Atractor Genie Gratitude Journal a couple of days ago was this:

Despite almost three years of neglect and minimal effort my business is still providing me with a good income and it will be easily expanded to enable me to reach my new goals.

I really have not worked much at all in the past three years.  If I put all my work time together it might be about the equivalent of three months in a regular job which is one month a year yet I still have an income greater than most people who slave in a regular 9 to 5 job.

In 2008 I totally neglected my hosting business due to a major personal upheaval I have spoken about in previous posts.  In late December I started to look at the figures and state of my business infrastructure and on first appearance it looked very bleak. I even wondered if I had left it too late as it was in sharp decline.

I put a big effort in for a month in to fixing the business infrastructure and realized that there had been changes in the past three years and the business really need a restructure. 

I was thinking about getting back into a positive mode by listing to some of my motivational tapes again and also The Secret but I was still preoccupied with my personal problems.  It was not until I started this blog that I have really started to really get focussed.

The income for month of January and February was not as bad I as I thought it would be.  It seemed I had stopped the decline and the first half of march looked like a continuation which similar figures, but this second half since I started the blog and listening and focusing on positive things slowly start to turn around. Current projections show I will be $500 up on last month and this increase has only occurred in the past week.

I mentioned previously that The Secret website has a free downloadable blank check from the universe which you fill out.   On mine I have written $25,000 which I expect to be my monthly income from this business.   

I understand that for every goal you need to set a target date otherwise it remains not much more than a wish.  I am setting a very achievable and believable target date of December 2009.   Perhaps I am setting my expectations too low as I know that the universe is capable of delivering much more than that in no time at all.  In fact there are no limitations.

It is however important that when you set a goal and work towards it you need to be able to believe it can happen so that you can truly receive.  I look forward to watching my income steadily climb and can easily visualize it already. 

Anyway that is my goal for my current business but this month I have two other very exciting businesses under development and they both look like being gold mines.

I have a story to tell that I found truly touching and uplifting.  

I have a long term friend that I met in high school.   In his early 20s his mother passed away from cancer and soon after his father moved the family to a new residence.  The father soon met another woman who was separated with kids and they moved in also.  They became a sort of Bradey bunch.

I really do not know the details of what happened but the end result was a very serious family rift with the younger sister of my friend refusing to even talk to her father.   This rift continued long after the father divorced the new wife who I am told was a chronic alcoholic. 

Slowly the relationship between father and his children had been healed with the exception of the youngest daughter who still refused to speak to him.  She now had her own family which her father had never met.

There was an impromptu family gathering held by my friend and they decided to invite his younger sister hopeful of some sort of reconciliation.  He rang his sister and the husband answered the phone.  He explained that there was a family gathering and that his father would be present and it would be good if they could come and try to make some sort of reconciliation. 

The husband said that they were just on the way out to a dinner but said this was more important and that they would be there. 

What happened next is truly beautiful.  The younger sister walked into the room with her husband and infant son.   The child saw his grandfather sitting on the couch and immediately ran over and jumped in his lap hugging him.

Now what is amazing is the child had never seen his grandfather before and had no idea who he was.  I think he is only 3 years old.    Even more amazing is the child is normally reserved and shy with strangers and not at all inclined to want to be cuddled.  Everybody was speechless and stunned.

This was the ultimate ice breaker.   There was no opportunity for any awkward situation to develop.  There might still be some issues not resolved but the daughter could not ignore this demonstration of love between her son and his grandfather.  The healing and reconciliation process had commenced initiated by the spontaneous expression of love by a small child not old enough to understand any of problems of the past.

 The thing to ponder is why did the child was instantly attracted to the grandfather sitting on the couch when he had no idea who he was.  

I would guess that the grandfather sat there with great expectations of seeing his grandson for the first time and feeling immense feelings of love.  These feelings were picked up by the child as soon as he entered the room. 

We are of course talking about vibrations and the Law Of Attraction.  Maybe the grandfather had day dreamed (visualized) countless times about this moment.  I can think of no other better explanation.

I have finished the tutorials for Attractor Genie and have started to setup my first project.  It’s really looking good. 

I also have subliminal messages happening on one of my screens.  It is meant to be happening on the main screen that I work on but the software does not seem to be aware of a dual screen configuration and is working on the screen off to my left.  I have about five messages happening selected from the huge database of readymade affirmations that come with Attractor Genie.

There is also a daily journal and I have started to use that too.  It is made up of a gratitude Journal, Success proof, New Ideas and comments.  It is good to consult the Attractor Genie manual as it gives examples on how these should be used.

There is also a questions tab with a large number of prepared questions designed to get you thinking and help you focus.  When you select and answer one of these questions it is also recorded against that particular day in the journal.  I chose two questions and one of them actually prompted me to write myself a note in the comments area.

I have made a start in all sections of the journal.   I like the structured design of the Attractor Genie journal that prompts you to address the different aspects I listed above as opposed to a journal that presents you with a single black page.

I have been listening to The Secret and some other material on the Law Of Attraction and the message is loud and clear.  I need to write down what I want.

I would think that most people can easily come up with a shopping list for the universe.  When I ponder what might be my shopping list I struggle.   It is not that I am so contented with what I have as there are many things I currently would like.

I think that maybe I have been just too unsettled up until now to decide what I want.  The turmoil of the previous year has made many of my previous plans and goals either redundant or no longer important.

I feel I am now closer to being able to formulate a plan and shopping list.  This morning I decided it was time to start and thought about the best way to write them. 

I am not into pen and paper.  For me it has to be onscreen and stored away from prying eyes.   Therefore I would need to put it into some sort of document.

I wondered if there were any applications out there to facilitate writing down your plans, goals, shopping lists and things like affirmations.   I found some free and shareware applications but when I examined them they were nothing more than glorified notepads. 

I then found the Attractor Genie and it promised to be everything I was looking for and much more.   I read the blurb and then continued my search but after spending a few hours on the net looking around at different things there was nothing else that even came close to the Attractor Genie in terms of promised functionality. 

I then checked the price on the sales page and saw that it was $97 through CLICKBANK.  This is a little expensive in my opinion but immediately below was a second purchase option to Test Drive Attractor Genie Software for 7 days for only $5.00 after which the remaining $92 would be billed if I did nothing (did not cancel).  

This appealed to me as it seemed to reduce the risk.  In reality it would make little difference if it was $97 or $5 being refunded.   I know that if I was not satisfied with the product I would have recourse both through my credit card and CLICKBANK who I know to be a reputable company.   

I went off for lunch and to attend to some other things and a couple of hours later I returned to my computer with the intention to purchase using the $5 option and did so.

As they promised access was immediate.  The download and installation instructions were easy to follow and took me step-by-step.  I now had the application installed on my system and when I started it there seemed to be a lot too it.

The step-by-step instructions recommended watching the online video tutorials.  I decided to have a look before attempting to use the applications.  

I am currently up to video tutorial number 12 of 14 and I must say I am extremely impressed at what this application seems to do.  The functionality is everything  I wanted and much more.   I am actually excited to start working with the software.

The video tutorials seem to cover all the functionality and would be enough for anyone to start using the application.  Within the video tutorials they make continual references to there being more information and help in the Attractor-Genie manual which I have download but have yet to open. 

At this stage I feel I will allow the remaining $92 to be billed but I still have 6 days to work with Attractor Genie and make my decision.  If it even provides half of what it seems to provide then it’s worth it.  

Unless something else more interesting comes up I think the next few posts here will be about Attractor Genie and my experience working with it.
